Gas springs by FIBRO
New generation

The perfect addition to your spring portfolio

Our FIBRO gas springs are the ideal solution when large spring forces need to be accommodated in a small space, long deflections are required, or both requirements need to be met simultaneously. Filled with azote, our gas springs do not require an external pressure chamber or gas piping.

New generation with numerous improvements

The new generation of our gas springs offers improved safety features and increased load capacity. All new models comply with the VDI 3003 and 3004 and ISO 11901 standards and have an orange-coloured collar for easy identification.

Extensive portfolio and first-class service

Our portfolio includes gas springs with increased spring force, compact installation options and controllable gas springs. We also offer various services such as set-up, upkeep and training. We support you in the correct layout and appraisal of the most suitable installation option.

Innovative accessories for predictive upkeep

Our product portfolio is complemented by accessories such as the Wireless Pressure Management System, which enables predictive upkeep by monitoring pressure and temperature.

OUR SAFETY FEAUTURES

Overpressure protection

If the pressure rises above the maximum permitted value, the safety collar on the sealing set is automatically destroyed. The gas then escapes into the atmosphere and the gas spring is depressurised.

Return stroke protection

If the speed is too high during the return stroke, the collar in the sealing insert will automatically break. The integrated evacuation grooves in the cylinder tube allow the gas to escape into the atmosphere and the gas spring becomes depressurised.

Overstroke protection

In the event of an over-extended stroke, the patented protection system (depending on the spring type) ensures that either the piston rod destroys a bursting screw in the base of the cylinder or the seal on the cylinder wall of the gas spring loses its sealing function in a specific way.

PED approval for 2 million strokes

FIBRO gas springs are developed, manufactured and tested for a minimum of 2 million* full strokes in accordance with PED 2014/68/EU. The springs deliver this full performance at the maximum permissible limits in terms of filling pressure and operating temperature – even when combined with any of the various mounting types available.* Calculation value for durability
